Marisco helps local foodbank
We received a lovely email in to Marisco HQ just before Christmas thanking our electrical team for their hard work over at the Bognor Regis Food Bank. Grant from the food bank wrote in with this, ‘It was incredible to see the difference made at Bognor Foodbank yesterday.
I didn’t quite realise the extent of their struggles there – they were using a battery floodlight in one of their storage rooms as the lighting had long packed up.
My sincere thanks to Marisco for making it happen, and to Dave for grafting on the day despite his back giving him grief.’
Well done team, it feels good to give back to such a deserving cause.
January’s employee’s of the month
This month’s long anticipated employee of the month goes to Colin Sparrow!
Colin’s proposers noted that he is “Definitely one of Marisco’s most valuable members probably the most universally liked and appreciated person we have.” “Always smiling, hard-working, reliable. What more could you ask for”.
Manager of the month for January goes to Dan Spiller!
Thanks to Dan for what his proposers say “Dan is always willing to learn and has come on leaps and bounds with his approach to H&S and taken on the lead in training supervisors on the ground even though they are not all part of his department” “Dan also got his entire team into the office before Christmas to complete extensive training on Atlas – He pushes his team to make sure that the work is completed efficiently, in a cost effective manner and his housekeeping (even though it is a wet trade) is second to none”
Both of our winners get £100 as a thank you for being such great members of the team and giving service above and beyond which doesn’t go unnoticed.

A note from our MD
After a challenging 2021, I would like to thank every member of staff for their hard work throughout the pandemic. The company is stronger than ever. We have created new contracts with our existing clients as well as keeping hold of existing ones.
2022 is already looking exciting with more growth and expansion of the business which we are currently planning for. This will produce many more job opportunities both internally and externally. We will be in touch once applications are open in case anyone wishes to put their name forward.
We have 6 new build properties kicking off in Eastleigh this month after a good year helping the client complete their new build developments earlier in 2021.
I’m happy to announce we will be accelerating the launch of South Coast Training Ltd due to local demand for the health and safety training courses we can provide. This will lead to more opportunities for career development and progression within the company.
This year we are keen as a business to support more local charities. We will be kicking off our fundraising efforts with a belated Marisco 10th anniversary party on Saturday 7th May 2022. The event will be a great opportunity to celebrate everyone’s hard work throughout the pandemic as well as raise some much needed funds for Helping Homeless Veterans UK, a registered charity based in Hamworthy. More details on the party will follow.
We are keen to run small fundraising events for a different UK charity each quarter. If you are affiliated with or would like to nominate a charity for us to fundraise for please email kayleigh@mariscosouth.com with the details.
We will sadly be saying goodbye this month to Jacob Whitmarsh and Scott Hardy, thank you all for your work with us over the years and wish you all the best with your new roles. Hopefully we can catch up for a beer or two before you leave us! Joining us this month is Adam Pietruczuk as a multi-trader, I’m sure you will all give Adam a warm welcome.
